My Creative Corner

When we moved this past summer I seriously down-sized my sewing room. In our past few houses we have always had a basement, that I would naturally takeover for my quilting "stuff". But here in Idaho, we have no basement. Although I lost some of the ease, I love the fact that I am back to the basics. Sewing machine table, cutting table, desk, and closet packed full of materials, etc.

One of the challenges in a sewing room, is finding a sewing machine table that is as pleasing to the eye as it is functional. Luckily, my very talented father-in-law, was able to turn this little PB desk into one. He cut out the hole in the top, and built a box underneath to hold the machine. I absolutely love it!
My cutting table is also from Pottery Barn. What I love about it is the fact that Big Boards has a mat that fit exactly on it so that the whole top is useful. Plus it has huge, deep drawers just waiting for me to stuff everything in them.
I also love their linen boards. I got a huge one to work as my design wall, and six little ones for my inspiration, project wall.
I love how clean and simple this space is.
It is one of my favorite corners in my home.
